Expression of Interest – Member, Tasmanian Home Education Advisory Council

The Minister for Education, Children and Youth is seeking Expressions of Interest from individuals who wish to be considered for appointment as a member of the Tasmanian Home Education Advisory Council.

There is an upcoming opportunity to appoint a person with home education experience either current or past, or to appoint a person with relevant skills and experience and an interest in home education.

An Expression of Interest advertisement will appear in each of the regional newspaper on Saturday, 23 September 2023. 

Persons wishing to submit an Expression of Interest should include details of relevant personal experience or skills in home education.  Applicants are encouraged to provide a short statement addressing each of the following as relevant:

• Background or experience in home education
• Work experience and/or interests
• If you do not have direct home education experience, what is it about home education that interests you
• Statement of what you can offer as a THEAC member
• Names and contact details of at least two referees.

Meetings are held during business hours on weekdays and may involve some travel within the State.
