A Resource for Home Educators: Understanding the Standards

Dear Home Educators

It is with much pleasure that I announce the release of a new resource for home educators – Understanding the Standards. 

This resource has been created to demystify the meaning of each Registration Standard and to help home educators understand the kinds of information that could be provided within a Home Education Summary and Program (HESP).  For some of you, this resource may simply be a confirmation of what you already know, and for others who are relatively new to home education, assist with the writing of your next HESP and to support you in bringing this information together.

This has been a collaborative effort from some of our Registration Officers. Each have made a generous contribution from their expertise in home education, much of which has been gathered from visiting our home educating families. 

A PDF version will also be available on our website. We will also provide you with a printed copy when you are next contacted to provide an updated HESP for your child.
