Home Education Mentorship Questionnaire and Guidelines - Copy

Thank you for your expressing interest in becoming a Home Education Mentor with the Office of the Education Registrar (OER). Please find below a short Questionnaire for you to complete, and the OER Guidelines in relation to this pilot program.

OER Guidelines for Home Education Mentorship Pilot Program

• The Office of the Education Registrar (OER) will determine who will be suited to the program.
  

• There is no guarantee that your Offer of Mentorship will be taken up as this program will operate based on need.

• The OER will endeavour to match you with those who are aligned to your home education style and philosophy.

• All personal information will be retained by the OER and only provided with the permission of the parties.

• Mentors will need to be prepared to share contact details with the family that they are matched with.

• This is a Volunteer position. There will be no remuneration and no reimbursement for any associated costs.

• Upon your offer as a Home Education Mentor you will be provided with a Starter Pack – this will include a Tool Kit for you to refer to throughout your mentoring journey – which is optional for use.

• You do not have to accept a family that the OER matches you with.
• As previously stated, this program will initially run as a pilot program for a period of six months and will then be reviewed.
